Here is a session we did in July 2005 with Dana. Several reasons made this shooting special for me including the place where we shot. Marc was kind enough to welcome us in his parisian appartment.

First reason, the nice location where I already worked 3 years ago when latex culture just started. I kept in memory his kitchen : a really cool open space, perfect for a french maid dressed in latex. Moreover, Marc is the best guy I met when I was moving in the french fetish places (shops and parties) … a long time ago ! He’s cool, positive, clever and professional : I love his sense of humour … politically incorrect, like me ! Second reason, I had to deal with the Dana’s hair color and cut : she decided this major change the day before our photo session. I don’t love this new haircut : maybe it’s okay for everyday life but it doesn’t match with my work … Dana’s face looks strange and the orange color ruined the two others sets scheduled after the kitchen one. However, I said nothing to Dana about it and we shot the first set : I just tried to photography the best angles to minimize the problem. Fortunately, hair color was matching with the kitchen colors : I remember Dana telling me “you see, it’s nice on pictures” … yep. It was correct on this set but it would have been 100 times better with her usual hair length and color !

as I said, there are several things which make this shooting special for me. Let’s go on … Third reason : the light : there was a lot of sun in Marc’s appartment and no way to bring darkness in the room. So, I mixed the light sources : two softboxes and the natural daylight. I was anxious about the result but the color harmony is really interesting. When I edited this serie in 2005, I wasn’t totally satisfied about the contrast but the problem has been fixed last week when I remastered the whole set. My taste changed and my photoshop editing changed too : before, I was obsessed by light tones but nowadays, I spend more time on details, trying to find the right balance between “good looking picture” and “render the reality”. maybe my taste will change again later, I just hope you love my actual photoshop editing ! Something more serious now. Fourth reason is that shooting sounds like a summary of this job : it can be really fun, working in a good atmosphere, joking and smiling … some others session can be the opposite : boring, painful, stressing and blah blah blah. That day, we got the both sides : everything started well, good atmosphere, relax people but everything changed in 20 seconds and 4 sentences. I was worried about a mistake we did in the end of the first set + I was always annoyed by Dana’s new haircut. We shot the second set but, on this one, the most important was Dana’s face and, unfortunately, the new haircut didn’t helped us. I stopped the sequence and made the set shorter : Dana understood my mood. I said nothing about the haircut changed. Four hours later her arrival, Dana understood the problem and questionned me. I answered something like “I don’t love it” very short, leaving the room because we had to install stuff for the third set. I am really curt sometimes. I think and speak fast and I am not used to loose time with sterile conversations. For the first time in 3 years, I really saw my words and my cold reaction hurted Dana. I forget sometimes women are not so strong they claimed … I don’t like tears then we spoke together.

As I often say to my friends, human part is predominant in that job. After a small discussion, we were able to start a third set even if my mood and creativity have been ruined. I was unable to forget that small incident as I was more worried about what happened in the end of the maid set. Explanation : after the metal restraint, I tied Dana on the kitchen furniture with jute ropes. No problem even if hard furniture is not comfortable when you’re bound over ! Sometimes, new ideas are coming while we shoot : Marc suggested we could put coarse salt on the table. I didn’t think a lot of about this idea except the coarse salt looks really nice and sounds like a good drama tool. Indeed, everybody is able to understand the coarse salt is really disturbing for the bound girl. I added the salt on the table and I helped Dana to go over these grains. I know that was uncomfortable but I didn’t guess one thing : salt is really agressive for the skin ! I don’t know if the body weight or the wet skin increased the effect but, time after time, the salt is slowly penetrating the skin and becomes really irritating. Be sure it’s like burning when you are bound and you are moving over the particles ! So, when we discovered Dana’s red skin, all of us were really worried and sorry. and I was more than others because it’s my job to think about everything. Fortunately, the skin of her breast was okay two days later but, at this time, I was really anxious about marks for several days. That’s why I was nervous after that first set and that’s also why Dana overreacted when I gave my impression about her haircut. I totally understand it now : if I was she, feeling my breast burning, trying to do my best to please jG, decided to get a nice head for the shooting … getting bad comment makes you sad !

Anyway, we got an happy end to the story. Our set in the kitchen featuring Dana dressed in french maid uniform looks great. Dana always loved latex and challenge, she got what she loves. Using handcuffs to make her elbows tight in the back was an evil idea but this image is very popular to my fans. I always appreciated metal restraint but this simple idea gave a strong drama to the maid cleaning action. You should love the details revealed by the higher resolution files : I adore the pictures focused on the coarse salt stuck to the bound tits … I know you will love close-up shots of Dana gagged and drooling. I also included one picture of the skin mistreated by the coarse salt ;-p Now, it’s time to let you rediscover this great set which has been remastered in 1000×1504 resolution.

that day, we started the afternoon with shibari time : jute ropes, suspension and vibrator games. and what about a second bound girl ?

May 2007 : another trip to Paris for Mina and another busy week-end. Since few years, I am focused on quality but I am always searching the right way to optimize our shooting time. For that day, I got the idea to begin the serie with Mina alone while Anaïs was working on her make-up (at this period, she was my muse and my assistant, so, she did the make-up for Mina first) : it was a good way to start working quickly and give enough time to my second model. Initially, I planned the following action : pin-up in ropes, semi-suspension, suspension, another bondage position with vibrator tied between the legs + symmetrical position for Anaïs, bound with another vibrator. I built a comfortable rope bondage for Mina because I knew she would be bound for a long time. I managed the several steps shooting pictures and making bondage till the vibrator addition (after the suspension). So, I let Mina alone with my friend Alain who took some pictures while I was building the same bondage position for Anaïs. That’s because I knew this session would be exhausting for Mina I scheduled the set when she was fresh. Unfortunately, we had to deal with a problem … Mina began to complain about painful legs while I was fixing the vibrator between Anaïs legs. Mina is not a girl complaining for nothing : I immediately understood we would be unable to shoot the video (this is sad because I bet it would have been fun to see how each girl manages the situation … too bad also because I found a good way to hide the electric cable and it took me several minutes to fix these details) … I imagined Mina would encounter some problems with her bound arms and, finally, the pain came from her legs and especially her feet : Mina was standing up for more than two hours and I decided to stop the session when I got the symmetry of the two bound girls. Mina was tied since 1H50 … that’s a bit long but not surprising. Next time, I will work on the ropework only, giving my camera to another photographer for the whole set. Anyway, we got the chance (and the time) to take more than 100 pictures, that’s not so bad :-) many thanks to Mina who managed her pain and allow us to shoot several images with the second bound girl. For the little story, we shot the latex layers video after this set (remember Mina and Anaïs in latex, playing with several hoods for latex culture) … a long day but definately a good one for the inspiration !

back to the bathroom for another bondage experience … don’t you love ropes in water Mina ?

let’s begin with some words about the camera rendering : I told a lot of bad things about the recent Nikon’s stuff since I got my D300, sounds like it works good with low light … even if there are strange textures in the dark areas (not noise but like jpeg compression problems) : anyway, the result is good and better than our previous sessions using low light and candles. I will do it again very soon just to make a longer serie. after two sets, we ended the day with this wet session and I didn’t want to spend two hours shooting with the unknown result. I know which result I can expect now, then, I could work with a cool mind. for the previous reasons, I decided to build a simple but efficient ropework for Mina : arms tied in the back, tight elbows and waist. You can’t really notice it on those pictures but Mina arrived at home with her natural hair color and I must say that’s my favorite one (and the length too) : she looks really sexy into the yellow light made with more than 50 candles. you can’t imagine how the room was hot with all these lights. that’s a good tip when you have no more electricity at home during the winter LOL as I wrote on the blog previously, I already did candles sessions in the past and I learn new things each time to make the result better. furthermore the increased number of candles I used another curtain to hide the window located above the bathtub. For the little story I scheduled this set several weeks before when Mina last time visited me and I decided to cancel it because I wasn’t satisfied about the harmony between the yellow / white candles and my regular curtain. I fixed the problem and when Mina came back, all the stuff was matching together. I bet you will love several portraits as you will like the wet skin when Mina is standing up in the bath. Personally I am happy because Mina should love those pics and that’s really important for our next shootings :-)
